i have a 95 xlt and was looking into doing the torsion twist lift. if i were to go over 2 inches, word on the street is that it will tress the c.v. joints too much. if i were to put in longer c.v. shafts in the front i tend to think that would relieve some of the stress. does anyone know if this is true. and if so what shafts should i use? i cant seem to find any online and it seems like no one really gives a sh*t about explorers but us. :exp:

bump kinda important

are you 2wd or 4wd?

there are no commercially available longer cv axles for the ford explorer.... also, that would not cure the issue of the angle because a longer axle cant go anywhere in the same mounting positions, it wouldnt fit......

now if someone did a longtravel with wider arms, than the longer axle idea would work.... when you long travel a toyota tacoma, you use tundra cv axles

there is a company called dixion brothers racing out of denver with a long travel suspention. i was going to put it in my truck but i ended up with superlift. they race baha with explorers they might have some idea
