White faced gauges from 2001 sport trac. They look like they have everything in the same spot as my 98 black faced gauge faces. I couldn't get the needles as someone wrecked the cluster and left it on the ground so they were all covered in mud and broke when i removed them. I don't know if i am going to install them or not... haven't decided yet.. so might be up for sale in a little while.

Look like they might match up pretty well. If you put them in let us know how they fit.

is that in kph?

Yah, you're right. You can see the little km/h under and to the right of 20 kph. Well at least it still says mph in really small numbers.:)

well, it had to be in kilometers,
look under his name in the avatar , he is in Canada,,,,,,,,,

i might be interested in buying them , , ,i am in Canada too ,

That's great find. There is,somewhere in the plethora of info that is this site, a thread where a guy changed the color of the needles. Might do a search.

I decided to install them... i just ordered some bulbs to replace mine... have 2 that are out...Should look pretty good. I always keep a look out for newer explorers in the junk yard so if i find another set i will sell it for cheap.

I checked and they have everything in the same spot as my 98 so should be a direct swap.

Which boneyard did you score that at? I never have any luck finding a lot of 2nd gen stuff here in town. I did manage to get some Eddie Bauer body trim parts (from a '99) and a grille (from a '96) this summer at AA Affordable here in the SE. Great prices too. They only had two second gens and both were pretty picked over and pretty dirty/dusty.

I've done the white overlay mod with red needles to mine too. I like the look.

As an aside, just remember that you need an Elite membership to be offering goods for sale here on the site. Just thought I'd let you know because posts will go missing, even when you're throwing down "feelers". Just thought you should know. The more Elite members from Calgary, the merrier! :D

cool on installing them for yourself,, go to it , and lets see some pics,, ,

Few things in guy's life bring such unique joy as a boneyard and a nice afternoon.

I went to the pick n pull on the corner on glenmore and barlow tr there in the se. http://www.picknpull.com/ There is usually a couple second gens in there. I just go once in a while. There was 2 second gens and that sport trac in there and they were picked pretty clean.

Also. i do know you need to be elite to sell things on here. Anyway i am just waiting for new bulbs before i rip things apart. Also going to fix my cruise control switch while i am doing that.

I hit pick n pull about a month ago (same time I hit AA Affordable) and they had no 2nd gens, just 3-4 1st gens. I did manage to snag a rear pocket trim ring for $3 from a 1st gen that worked great on my '99 (using it with a Q-Logic sub enclosure and the grille that came with that). Worked like a charm.

I'm about 5 minutes from both yards where I work in the SE and they're about 10 minutes from my house. I use car-part.com to try and isolate specific parts (although pick n pull isn't part of that search engine). I definitely recommend AA Affordable. They were going to charge me $45 for a slightly bubbled grille from a '99, and charged me $70 on a grille from a '96, better condition. I couldn't get a quote of less than $100 from other lots around town and the province.

nice find be sure to post pics when u get it installed

Well installed them today when i was bored. They line up pretty well. only thing that was a little off was the theft light... most of it illuminates except last two letters... but good enough.

Took me a while to get the speed to display correctly... but finally got it perfect.

Nice job. Looks a lot like my setup which I also used to have on a Sport. ('00). Now on my '99 EB.

I however have the green scraped off as i wanted the letters to shine through white as with the other gauge faces i had... now it does not light up evenly... so might have to take it apart again and put some sort of coating on it.

I left the gels alone with mine. The only other difference with mine is that I had the white faced gear indicator as well. Pic from my old Sport (but same as the EB):

Yeah the white gear indicator was gone when i pulled that gauges
