hey guys, i got a 99 sohc explorer, no mods except for sum rancho rsx shocks n 30" tires...i do a decent mount of 4 wheelin, and my truck does fine as is, but id like to beef it up a little bit. im looking for maybe 4 or so inches, enough to fit 32 or 33's. so im just wondering what some of you would reccomend, if i can get 4 inches from just suspension lifting that would be awesome, but if you can recommend something with a body lift thats fine, i just want to gain a few more inches clearence and be able to fit some bigger tires...thanks for the help guys

you can go with a 3" BL relatively cheap, or with a 4" Superlift for about $1500.

I recommend a 3" body lift and 1.5" suspension lift using torsion twist and warrior shackles. Cheaper and more reliable than the expensive 4" susp lift kits.

i'd go w/ the Bl or something...torsion twists i've heard mess w/ ride quality and stuff...

Many members, me included, have run TT's for many years without problems. The key with the Explorer is not to go more than 1.75-2" on a 4x4 and to get a good alignment afterwards.

who can do a TT and then who does the alignment? and if i did somethin like that what size tire could i get?

Welcome to the site, BTW.

I recommend you get acquinted with the search feature and scroll through the suspension forum for some ideas.
