Looking around at some new trucks

Well as some are prolly aware I am looking to get rid of my truck and pick up a newer one....well it has come down to it that the hubs have gone bad it needs a new tranny and bushing wise it was almost down to the frame so I am lookin at some options and looks like i can get a trade in at about 500 or 1000 for the truck. Anybody have any ideas. What I am looking at now is a 98 Durango with leather rear air and the works because I just can't find the Explorer I want.....words of wisdom or anything is welcome I am losing a ton of dough and any suggestions i might not know are welcome...

what do u guys think of the durango...dependable???
Seems pretty nice prolly gonna drive it in the next day or so feel out that V8.....

the durangos are cool.... figuring they are the last suv that uses a solid axle other than the gm fullsize, they are good

The magnum V8's are bada$$ especially when put in a Durango or Dakota. Sound sweet as hell with an exhaust on them too.

oh yeah, just remebered something... check to see if it has bad tie rods..... the outer ends are replaceable however, the inners can not be replaced without replacing the whole rack! its some stupid design... the part alone is $1200

Anyway it sounds like i may not be making to bad of a choice....i have been lookin around at aftermarket parts and it don't seem like I will be stressing like i was on the 92 X at some points.....however crash rating have been brought to my attention.....don't plan on crashing but always important...anyone have any views on that???

The Durango I am looking at is a 98 Durango and is gonna run me 8Gs

SLT with Leather Interior
Has a little over 100K Miles on it...

Still have to check out the rest of the truck it was up on my boys lift when I went to the shop...it was getting new tires and stuff before they put it up for sale...

I got my '98 Sport with 67,000 miles for $8,000. Do you for sure not want another Explorer? Around here there are mostly around $8-10,000 for '98s and newer.

Tru yeah I don't really think I want another Explorer for right now.....I want to go with something bigger and I like the bigger engine in the Durango and the styling is really nice...I am more fond of the Durango styling and options then most of the Xs I have found around here...
