Hey ya... I know there are some people that are around where I live... (one is across the street so I hear.) anyways... I dont have a local shop to take my usually broken explorer too. Suggestions? I usually need general maintenence... not so much a 4x4 shop. (for the most part)

Well I know a good shop up here in Pasadena but that is a little drive for you. Sorry can't tell you one in Fullerton.

Hmm..i'll look around and talk to some people. I usually do all the work myself and if i can't do it i ask my dad to help me. A lot of the general maintenance you can do. Go and by a manual and some tools and you should be able to save some money doing the work yourself.

I'll ask around and see about some shops. You mean maintenance as in oil change and stuff like that?

No...i usually do maintance... more along the lines of... hey.. my engine exploded again... or maybe someone to service my tranny...

OffRoadin,

Where's that shop in Pasadena, I'm in Alhambra and it's always good to know of a good place to go.

The shop is on Walnut just east of allen. The name of it is A&E Automotive and they are specificly Ford cars. THe owners name is Ron and they are extreamly good. Price range is moderate but wont do anything that isnt neccessary.

Hey Fly,

Where in fullerton? I live off of Wilshire and Harbor. I used to go to North County Automotive on the coner off Wilshire and Maulden, but the guy who ran the place sold it. Now I go to McCoy Mills Ford. I would not buy a car from them but they have a good service dept.

I go to McCoy Mills also but they are SOO explensive. I don't know why I keep going there. I don't like that place. Has anyone every been to Fairway Ford on Yorba Linda and Rose? I heard they are pretty good.

I live off Yorba Linda... right across from the College... and Target. Yup yup.

Flyguy, I think I might have seen you driving around today. Do you have a lift on your X? And another wierd thing... I just noticed that we registered for this forum on the same day, 10-17-99. Kinda wierd.

Dont think so... you can tell its me cuz I have a "smashing pumpkins" sticker on the back.

Flyguy,

You might want to try Ford of Orange on the corner of Katella and Main just down the street from the Pond.

They aren't necessarily cheap but they are thorough and when I've had to buy parts, they sell them at less than retail. 15% off on my last purchase.

I did have one bad experience. While in for the intake manifold o-ring recall, someone ripped off $5-7 of change in the ashtray. I reported it and the customer service manager couldn't have been nicer. She promised to find out who it was and sent me a certificate for a free oil change and wash.

Other than that, it has always been a nice experience (for having work done at a dealership).

Any non-dealer places? Ive never had goof luck or good prices from the dealer shops.

Are any of you guys going to the Ford show at Knotts Berry Farm on April 22nd? I'd like to invite you all to join us Rangers in a meet and run to the show that morning.
If anyone is interested, email me at Ranger4dbz@aol.com, and I'll send you a flier on the event!
