I own a V6 model 00 ford explore E.Bauer ed.. It has around 127,000 mi. on it and is in pretty good cond. mechanically. I plan to try to keep it on the road for about another 3+ yr's. given the up keep doesent get to pricy.I want to keep it for recreational use and get something a little better on gas for every day driving. My main problem is power and power consistency. I am looking to get the most bang for my buck by adding max HP for min. cash. My biggest problem is it just doesnt seem to have what it takes to pull its own weight. They dont make a turbo charger I can add,as far as I know. Some times it just Boggs down on the highway,I'll hit 55-60 and it stops accellerating. The pedal will be on the floor but she wont go above 60,doesnt happen all the time but often enough and it just accellerates to slow over all. I think I have to have the muffler welded again because it tends to come loose and I know that effects Hp as well as just bing bad for the air but I doubt the exhaust is my major problem. Long story short before I Add a lift and bigger,heavier tires so I can off road I need more Hp. Any modification tips would be appreciated.
