After several unsuccessful months of trying to sell my Explorer, I've come to the decision that the best thing would be for me to sell the Ranger instead. As much as I hate to do it, here's why: My parents loaned me the money to buy the Ranger before I sold the Ex so I could still have a vehicle to drive to and from school and work. I was getting very few hours at work, so money was slow coming in, and every bit went to my parents. I missed a few insurance payments, so as of now I'm 2 months behind on that (which my parents covered for me), as well as oweing my folks the $10K for the Ranger as well. I'd be damn lucky if I could get $7K for the Explorer, and even then I'd have over $3000 to pay my parents back- NOT a good thing when I'm wanting to move out after the next schoolyear is over. I'm not making enough money to pay them back in a reasonable amount of time, so I've decided to keep the Explorer (which is paid for) and sell the Ranger instead. I don't think I'll come out too bad on the Ranger, I should be able to get around $10K for it, especially with the brand new BFG's and all the work I've put into cleaning it up. I hate to sell the truck, but sometimes money just won't allow. :(

So I'll be taking the Explorer off the market, and putting the Ranger on. Hopefully it'll sell fairly quickly. I just hope my tranny doesn't decide to crap out on me anytime soon. Anytime after spring I should have enough money saved to cover it, but until then I'll be scraping bottom. I'll be putting the stock wheels and tires back on the Explorer, and possibly returning it to stock height.

However, I will be keeping my eye out for 4WheelParts to offer the free installations on suspension kit purchases later on in the year. ;)

IN THE RESPONCE TO THE ORIGINAL POST.....

HEY DUDE I FEEL THE SAME WAY. ALTHOUGH I AM ONLY 17 I OWE MY PARENTS ALMOST A GRAND JUST FROM EXPENSES. I ALSO HAVE LOW CASH FLOW RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I STILL HAVE SCHOOL TOO. BUT ANYWAYS WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO W/ THE "OLD" TIRES THAT YOU ARE TAKING OFF? LET ME KNOW. THANKS

I'll probably be keeping the 31's. I'm gonna keep my eyes out for a cheap 5.5" lift in the future, and if I have the 31's, I can at least have something bigger than stock to run until I get some 33's on there. I also may just add a 2 or 3" body lift on top of the spacer/shackle lift I have now and run 32's.
