Loss of power

Hello, While I was driving my 2003 SPORT TRAC slowed down even when I gave it gas and the air conditioner started blowing warm air. I pulled over and turned the car off and then started it back up and it seemed fine and the a/c started bowing cold air again. What can cause this problem? Please help!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH

I had that happen on my old Chrysler Town & Country, and on it the transmission had a problem, and it went into limp-home mode. Do the ST's have something similar?
