When I have the wheels turned fully to the drivers side then start to turn towards the passanger, I hear/feel a loud clunk. I had some else turn the wheels so I could see and it visablly moves. I had the wheel bearings repacked but I don't think this has any thing to do with it. I haven't wheeled her in a month so I'm not sure what has happened. She goes in tomorrow morning so any feedback would be great. Thanks people!

hi... long time no talk.... was she in 4x4 or had hubs locked? mine clunks like hell if on the pavement in 4x4 hubs locked and trying to turn.... she doesnt like it when i do that.....

Hey Jim,

How ya been? How's the truck? No it wasn't in four and the hubs werent' locked. It does it only when turning sharp and only on one side.

tires rubbing?

radius arm bushings?

how is your alignment?

swaybars falling apart or rubbing?

No tires arent' rubbing.

The bushing look good. I was thinking of greasing all zerc fitting on the radius arm bushings. Would this help. Do you think the bushings could do that?

Allignment is ok. I was waiting for new tires to get them done. It's not that far out of whack.

I have quick disconnects so I could disconnect the front and check. But I don't see any rubbing.

It's like something binding and lets go.

Check the u-joints in the axel:D

actually... that is an idea... i think vert meant fronts but if not engaged they wouldnt do it.... however the rear end may do if if the joint is out of whack.....

Do you have auto hubs?

I have warn manual hubs.

What kind of bushings do you have?Poly or rubber:D

Loud clunk when turning. Very loud!

Mine was doing exactly that when turning to the right.
It turned out to be a loose sway bar mount. I tightened it and the banging went away.

I'm thinking it's the ball joints. Could that be it???

Yeah it could be

Have you checked them recently?I just changed all four on my lifted ex,100% difference now i have shock problems:(

The nut, washer and bushing are missing on the right side radius arm. Thank god I didn't hit the brakes hard when in reverse or the whole thing would be on the ground. Thanks for your help. I'm going to get greasable ball joints, replace the tie rods and bushings and order the nut, washer bushing from Superlift. Thanks for all the help guys.!

Let us know how it turns out:D Good luck
