Loud engine noise?

Have had the XLT for about 2 weeks. My wife is the driver of it but this weekend we traveled about 250 miles one way and we noticed that once going above about 70 mph, there is a humming noise coming from the engine bay. Best way I can describe the noise. Just sounds like the car is working harder than it should. The tach is showing ok at about 2k. and I switched to manual to make sure it was going to 6th gear and it is. Anyone else have anything similar to this? I will be bringing it in this week to have them drive it to see what it is. Definitely something not right. I know, I hate asking the, "weird noise" post as it is impossible to describe it but just wanted to see if anyone has had anything like this. There are about 1500 miles on the car. Could this be a break in thing?

No.

Did you check the oil level? Good you are taking it in to dealership.

It could be, and Ford has put out a TSB on the A-pilar noise as well, so if you have it take it in and have em' fix it, bad seal apparently.
