My valves knock and click faily loudly when up to speed if I bog down on the throttle, and sometimes when I am going highway speeds. Also when I cruise at around 55-65 I find it better to leave it in 4th gear, because if I put it in 5th at those speeds it will knock. Do I need to replace anything. Also I hear a strange rattle when I turn my a/c on when the clutch is depressed, when I push the clutch or hold the shifter against a gear (not putting it in gear) or put it in gear, the rattle stops. It sounds like it is coming from inside the bell housing where the clutch workings are. Any ideas what this is?
I recently (about 4 months ago) changed out all the clutch parts except the slave cylinder, used all recomended torque specs and proceedures. Also had mechanic change out the slave after it went out, but I noticed the rattle before that and it has not been effected by the slave change out. Help?
