Loud noise when accelerate Past 10mph

When I accelerate part 10mph a loud noise starts to occur. This has only started earlier today. It sounds like metal gring on metal. Also, it sounds like it might be coming from underneath rather than the engine compartment.

can you get the truck up in the air on jack stands and put it in gear to spin the wheels and see what's making the noise? you don't say if it's 2 or 4 wheel drive.
 






It's 4WD, I think. My uncle said he'd take a look at it tomorrow since he has a code scanner.
 






I doubt a code scanner will tell you much. Do you have any vibration? How many miles? Don't forget to check the drive shaft, u-joints, brake rotors/calipers/pads too. there are any number of things to cause a noise.
