Loud Squeal when A/C is on

Hey everyone, whenever I turn my A/C on I'm hearing a really nasty squealing noise coming from the engine, but as soon as a turn the A/C off, the squeal stops. I have an 05 4x4 explorer, thanks!!

your ac clutch is toast

Probly your IAC. Eventually it will make the noise even with it off intermittently. Mine is doing the same thing im just to cheap to get the part.

jakebrake is correct - probably the AC compressor's clutch.
