I have searched and read many good brake threads here....

...so far this site has helped me a lot; I am now going to do my own brake pads and rotors. I would like to replace the pads with ones that do not have a lot of dust and also do not eat away at the stock chrome wheels.

Any suggestions?

..forgot to add. Anything from the local AutoZone fit the bill?

Ceramic pads are usually better for being low dust. You should be able to get some locally. But they probably won't be as good as hawk pads that you would probably have to order online.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about ceramics, but wasn't sure how great they would be on a vehicle this heavy. I am not racing, so I guess they should be alright.

..now to get some OEM wheels, my 2004 OEM chrome ones are shot!
