Ok...well either this weekend or next i will be tearing the upper half of my engine off to replaace my lower intake gasket ans valve cover gaskets. My question is... Is there anything i shouls look for and take notice to while im doing this job.ive done my valve covers once but havent tackld the lower intake bfor. Just wondering if anyone has some quick tips or sugestions that would make it easier. Thanks to anyone who helps.

If you got money i would have it ported and polished.don't use cork! !!if you got the ticking sound i would replace your rockers wile you have it opened up

I'm doing my valve covers now. I Just did my drivers side and would recomend cleaning prior to taking on the job. Pressure wash everything.

Yeah...i have a brand new set of fel pro gaskets...2 new valve covers and new upper and lower intakes all clean and polishd. Everything is already powerwashsd as well.

There is a huge difference in clean and polished than ported and polished

Also why did you buy new valve covers, upper and lower intakes?where did you find these parts?

They were an a very low milage engine i bought last year. Still had factorynon rusted paint and all ID stickers. I decided if i was going to do this job id do it right and not reuse the old stuff i had that was rusted to hell and has 275000miles
