I am on the look for 8 Lower Intake Manifold studs inorder to finish rebuilding my truck. My local Ford dealer states that Ford no longer makes that part. Napa, Checker/O'Rieley, and the like are not stocking this either. Has anyone out there found where I can find this part?

5.0L of 4.0L? If it's a 5.0, try Summit Racing. If it's a 4.0.... I didn't think they had lower intake manifold studs... I thought the lower IM bolted in place?

The only studs I can think of on the 4.0 ohv are the ones that hold the fuel rail and upper intake (plenum) to the lower intake.

EDIT: And I have a set of these...

My truck is the 4.0. These studs screw into the top of the block, then the lower intake manifold gasket slips down over, followed by the lower intake manifold; the manifold is secured to the block by nuts screwing down on the studs. Yes, there are two additional studs (much smaller) for the fuel rail.

IIRC there was only 1 or 2 studs that the lower intake goes over.. The rest are bolts..

I am assuming we are talking about a 4.0 ohv here..

If so, I have a full set of nuts/bolts I took off the old motor when I took it apart (its now just a short block/ lying on the ground) and I can look at the pile and pull out the ones you need...

Hi Mark,

I'm looking for a Fuel Rail Stud for 1991 Ford Ranger 4.0l v6 push rod engine or ohv.
