Anyone here lowered their Explorer some? I think it sits a bit high for all street driving and even getting in and out. Not a big deal for me as I'm tall but shorter passengers have had a bit of a challenge getting in and out.

To my knowledge, there's nothing available. I've contacted both Ground Force (who made them for the '02 - '05s) and Eibach. GF said they had nothing planned, and Eibach said they might have something later this year. I'd jump on 'em in a heartbeat if they were available; I hate the 4 x 4 stance.

Sprint performance had springs for the 06's. 20 kits to be exact. I somehow managed to get ahold of the last kit and I'm sort of disappointed. The ride is a little rougher than I had hoped, but I guess I'm asking a bit much out of some drop springs. Here's my thought...I don't believe they changed the suspensions on the 06 from the 05. Both are still fully independent and require coilovers. Here's where BellTech and KW come in. BellTech stocks a kit for the 05's that is a set of gorgeous looking adjustable coilover units. I'm currently trying to get a price here locally but as of right now, I have no idea on cost. Keep me posted if y'all find anything.

Problem : rear drive shafts going thru the frame. Rest shouldn´t be a big deal, use shorter springs and smaller rims with lo-profile tires. But I love the Explorer the way it is, it´s a SUV, not a coffee-racer. And for shorter people they invented the running boards ;)

Sound like lowering is rarely done on the "X".
