Hey all,

I am ready to order new rims for my 98 (M/T challengers 15x8), But I am need help. I am not sure that my measurement is right, approx. 4 3/8". Does this sound right or are they metric spaced? The M/Ts are listed for 5 1/2" or 4 1/2". Does anyone know the correct measurement?

Thanks in advance for the help,
Alan

Thanks, Matt

Can anyone give advice on a reliable and a reasonable priced internet supplier to purchase the M/Ts from?

I am currently pricing them at National Tire any opinions on them?

Thanks again,
Alan

National Tire and Wheel has a decent price. Why do you want MT's? Do you like the rim or the name on them? Just curious, there are nicer rims out there that are cheaper.

These are AR Baja's, $89 each

Matt,

I like the A/R rims alot, but the backspacing listed on the web sites I have viewed was only 3 1/2 for them. The backspacing on my factory rims is 4 1/2" and I think it would put the tire too far outside of the wheel wells.

I definately do not like the looks of a truck that the wheels stick out too far and not enough tire is left under the truck. I am not sure if you can picture what I am referring to but hopefully you know.

The pic. looks good from the side, but I would need to see a straight on shot. What is the backspacing on them?

Thanks again,
Alan

I had the same wheels you do now and they barely stick out. I know what you mean about them sticking out too far, these don't. A lot of the guys here have either the AR or EA Baja rim and love them.

After with AR 767, same backspace as AR Bajas

I can give you a side shot tomorrow if you want. I know how you feel, I went into this blind and got the black wheels first. As you can tell I didn't like them.

Hey Matt,

I really appreciate the pics. now I am convinced that the A/Rs will look good on my 98. I will put them on my list.

Thanks again,

Matt,

Just thought I would let you know I have choosen and purchased the ARE's with the BFG ATs from National Tire and Wheel. But I am having second thoughts on the BFGs though I think I should have went with the Yokohama Geolandars AT+ instead.

KO's

NO, you made an excellent choice with the KO's. You will not be disappointed! Did you get the 589's?

So you got them from National Tire eh? Check this, I ordered mine on a Monday and got them Friday. Cool huh?

Yes, I got the Baja's.

Ordered them on Tuesday and they said I should have them by Friday.

Not too Shabby, Huh.

Well, my new wheels and tires arrived this morning while I was hunting (all day).

Can you guess what I was doing in the dark when I got back?

Yep, I was putting them on just like a kid at Christmas.

Now I cannot want until I can see them in daylight, but that will be Sunday because tomorrow I will be off hunting again.

Just I case you were wondering why I would not see them in between morning and evening hunts, well thats because the Xplorer is really my wifes baby so she says and I am not allowed to carry my trophies in it. Ha Ha or does.

Now can you guess what I have to drive to go hunting in, a Toyota Camry is that some S**t or what, but at least she lets me improve (our):)the Xplorer.

Have fun with them!
