Does anyone have the Ford part number for the Block plate (engine plate, starter plate, whatever it is called) for the 4.2 M5ODR2? I didn't think to get it from the salvage yard I got the tranny from and they won't answer the phone now. I have found the automatic version on Tascaparts.com but not the 5 speed. If no part number a source for one that fits for sure?

Thanks

I can’t help with the part number, but let me ask, is the 4.2 a typo, or did you swap a different engine in?
Also, I may be wrong but Imbelieve the m5od r2 came behind v8s. The r1 came behind 4.0 ohvs and the r1hd came behind 4.0 sohcs.

No 4.2 is not a typo, the truck I got the tranny from is a 2003 F150 with 4.2 V6. I am in the middle of the V8 swap.

I got lucky and the salvage yard still has the truck and I hope to pickup the plate in the morning.
