I've been searching for a amp to run my single 12W7 for about a week now. I don't have room for the 1000/1 from JL or that is what I would have got already. I finally decided on a 500/1 since my audio shop has one in stock and it fits perfectly where I want to mount it, but now i'm thinking I want something more powerful than the 500/1. The space requirments of where this amp will be mounted are a max. of 14inches long. I want to know what everyone thinks of the MA Audio amps for my setup? I was thinking possibly the HK-2000D. Which one would be best? How does there quality compare to JL amps and such? I'll be doing the installation tomorrow night. Thanks.

Check out a MMATS D300HC

Small frame Class D that will spank out 1200 watts RMS with EASE. You mod it and it will give you close to 2000 watts RMS.

VERY affordable amps. I pushed 2 of them on 6 JL 12W-3's for 2 years with no probs. Hope you have a good electrical system :D

welp given your 3 ohm load (I think thats what dub7's have?) So with the 2000d you'd be in the neighboorhood of 1250 watts, I'd go for it, thats more power than the jl 500 can ever put out.
