Howdy all

I recently pm'ed James from Henson about this.

I have a CAI, spacer, accel coil pack and wires, street tune

Here's my dilemma....

Did some recent cleaning of my ca intake, filter and maf sensor. Maf sensor plugs and battery cable was disconnected. Used the CRC spray and did not touch those wires at all. I let it dry for about 3 hours, and I fired it up. Here's where the wierdness began.

As I started it up, the idle was all over the place. It almost died but caught itself in time. I drove it for a while, and the idle returned to normal after a little bit. Besides that, I noticed some power loss and a bogging effect when going to wot. Lots of smoke from the tail and a rich smell. It threw a p1100 (maf intermittent code) at me and I also noticed a clicking sound like something was turning on/off in the area of the intake I believe. That too went away though just like the wild idle.

I drove it to work today (11 miles) and under normal load seemed to be nominal. I was still experiencing, on occasion, the bogging at wot. I cleared the code and drove it home. The code did not reappear. Idle was at 900

What is the cause of this? Is the p1100 something to worry about? Will the truck recalibrate itself after a few more trips? Does that clicking represent a surge?

It has been in stock mode for a few weeks now as I check driveability.

Your experience and thoughts in this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
