I am so thankful for the information I found on the forum to do the temp fix on the heater blend door. I was able to do it just in time for the cold weather that has hit the midwest. Are there any tips for getting it to stay? I've tried everything I've seen here but it keeps randomly flopping back and I have to squeeze my hand back inside behind the glove box.
I've tried keeping the fan turned up when I start the car, tried it turned off, heat setting on high, low and all combos of the above. Still, every day or so I hear it flop back and there goes my heat. Are there any suggestions you guys have found that tends to give better results keeping it on the heat side? I saw one suggestion about tying some fishing line around it and just pulling it back to the heat setting but my hands are WAY too big to even think about trying that. Thanks in advance.
