making a custom grille guard

i am looking at making my own custom grille guard but i dont know what to use.... what type of piping should i use and would a regualr pipe bender work?
anything will help.... thanks

I would suggest 1.5" HREW/CREW tube or DOM if you can get some and dont mind the price difference. A pipe bender may work but they will most likely kink the tube. a tubing bender is much better and will give a much nicer appearence in the bends of your tube.
