looking for material to make a custom grill

Flat sheet stock. You will not be able to make the contour bend on a flat bar look good though, so each individual piece will probably have to be laser cut from a sheet thick enough to mainain the shape. Then it will need to be chrome plated.

However, if you convert to a explorer header panel and headlights, you can get a pre made explorer billet grill for around 50 bux on ebay
