When making CDs with MP3 files, what so you have to do to "encode" the title of the song so that it will display on the HU?

Thanks....

i was just in circuit city, and i put one of my mp3 cds into the sony mp3 head unit and the titles automatically showed up. when i burned the cd, i didnt do anything different. i guess it just reads the title of the files that were used to make the cd.

My mp3 HU sometimes just reads the filename but can also read the ID3 tags for artist and title.

Yes - the actual name of the file is different from the attributes given to it through the mp3. That means after you save the file, most of the MP3 players will allow you to edit this information.

You can also do it for regular audio CDs.

I have an Alpine deck that can read cd text data. Basicly it will read the cd title or song name and display it similarly to when you put an audio cd in your computer and it download the titles from cddb.

If you have ez cd creator you can do Dead Link Removed If your truck's deck supports it.
