I was wondering how y'all make your own front bumper? I saw that there are some people that made killer bumpers and I would love to make my own bumper. My dad welds and cut metals, so I could have him to help me to make my bumper. If you made your own bumpers, can you include your pictures and tell me how you made it?

There is a thread called "show us your custom bumpers" in off road section after the street truck section. Maybe that will help:dunno:

My front bumper is a combination of tube and plate steel. For the tube work you're obviously gonna need a tube bender and a notcher helps but you can use an angle grinder.
For the plate work, I like to use masonite for mock up. You can see what it will look like before you cut any steel plus you use the pieces as templates.

I made mine out of a 4 inch pipe and used 1/2 inch plate steel for the brackets its awesome have hit several things with and it is very useful.

O.P. Use 1/4" plate for the mounting brackets, you can use 3/16 or 1/4 plate for the body of the bumper. Each design is unique and serves different purposes.

I've never seen you around West Jefferson. I drive though there daily on my way to work and back. Normally in my civic though. What color is your truck?
