Hello all, I found I am in need of an exhaust manifold clamp. Problem is I've looked online and keep seeing these for GM vehicles, none for ford except for the 7. something engine. Mabe I'll make a template and have one made up. Any help here appreciated. B.R.

What do you mean by clamp? I’m not familiar, what will this clamp do?

Went to remove a stud and it broke about 1/4" below the surface of the head. It was the lowest rear stud on an explorer 4.0 engine. I've looked online and every one except for the 7.2? Ford are for GM vehicles. It's a simple plate or in my case like a piece of angle w/ a hole or two on one side and a nut welded w/ a bolt in it to apply pressure to the tang on manifold to seal it.

Sorry I'm so late replying been busy. The "clamp" I referred is for holding one ear of exh manifold if you have a broken stud. Luckily mine's the bottom one next to the firewall on drivers side. I have since bought one for a newer GM v8 and it's close. Think I'll take it to a welder and have it modified. Wanted to let you know so someone else on here will read this and give input on this dilemma. Thanks.
