I have a question for all you super smart guys out there........I have been grenadine my warn manual hubs every time I go out ever since I put the Detroit ezlocker in the front......they work great til it explodes......is there a manufacturer of these hubs that will work better with a locker? I know I shouldn't complain too much cause better that than a u joint but seriously I would think they should hold up better than they are? I am doing a sas soon but in the meantime I'm tired of this.....any suggestions?

I learned to recognize the circumstances when I would blow a hub. Such as, when the wheels are turned all the way, or almost all the way, one way or the other. And/or if the vehicle weight was mostly on the front end or one side of the front end. And/or if I was trying to reverse uphill. And/or too heavy on the gas pedal. Combine two or more of these and it's almost a guaranteed shattered hub!

With all that said, there is or was a warn hub made for a Jeep that would fit on our trucks that had a stronger casing. There's threads on it, I'm sure.

I'll definitely look for the thread........guess until I get the sas done I'll just have to plan on carrying a few extra hubs lol

The Warn 37780 hubs are the heavy-duty ones that fit in place of the stock/aftermarket 29071 hubs for a Dana 35.

They ARE "stronger" but as advised above, if you're busting hubs, you really need to learn not to do whatever it is you're doing that's busting hubs. You can still bust a hub, even with slightly stronger ones, and if the hub doesn't go, the joint or axle will break instead.

Also keep in mind Warn hubs do have a lifetime warranty. Even the OE Ford hubs are from Warn and have it. You can send them your busted hub and they will send you a new one. Even if you buy a new set of 37780 hubs, having a few spare 29071's just in case is a good idea on the trail.

I did not know they had a lifetime warranty. ....I'll look into that...thanks

..That info is in the hub stickie in the stock sub forum...;)

...except the warranty info...You will need a receipt as original purchaser to get the warranty...
