MAS Opinions?

I am thinking about installing a Granatelli Mass Airflow Sensor on my Sport Trac (4.0L SOHC). I wanted to get any opnions/experiences you have had with an aftermarket MAS. Is it worth the $269? Is there a noticeable increase in performance? I have heard from a Camaro enthusiast who said they weren't worth the money and only added 4HP, but I would like to hear from anyone who has actually installed one on an Explorer.

I could easily be mistaken, but, I thought this product was only for the OHV motor not the SOHC. If you find it is available for the SOHC, please post.

I actually have the unit at home. It has 98 Explorer stamped on it, and the part number says it is for 99-01 Explorers, 4.0L SOHC. Granatelli part# 70004019-04. I ordered mine from but they sent the wrong one. (Mine is a 6 pin connector at the MAF, the one they sent, and presumably, the 98 Explorer, is 4 pin.) Granatelli said to ship it directly to them and they will send the correct one to me.

I'm contemplating just sending it back to performance products and getting a refund if it doesn't do much anyway.

You are probally going to be disappointed..I was..If I had it to do over, I would have spent the money elsewhere..
