mass air flow ?

i have a 99 4.0l ohv v6. is a 302 mass air flow the same or is it bigger. ive done a search and everything i find is for first gen x's. i would like to put a bigger one on mine. if they do, do i need to pull the sensor out of mine and put it in the 302 one. my friend just blew up his 302 in his truck and i want to put whatever i can on my x.

If it uses the same 6 pin plug as the 302 does then it will work. Make sure you disconnect the battery and let it sit for 30 mins before you start it with the different sensor.

I was looking for the very same info for my 99 OHV. I searched salvage yards to no avial. I finally just opened the hood of a V-8 I found on a used car lot. The MAF on the V-8 X was black plastic housing and appeared exactly the same as mine.

how much bigger and what years of 302 ones can i use.
