Max Tire size for 2002 with 16 in rim

I have a 2001 Explorer with standard 235/70/16 tires. I want a wider taller tire for driving on beaches. What is the maximum size I can put on without modifications. Thanks

Thanks. I looked at it but there is no mention of 16 inch rims. Am I missing something?

Do you have an '02 or '01? Big difference. You can put 265/75/16s on a '01 or older.

235/70/16 is standard on the '02 and up. You could easily go 255/70/16.
