may be time for new battery

A couple of days ago I was cleaning the X listening to the radio like I always do and when I went to turn it on it wouldnt start. It has never done that before and I always listen to the radio when Im working on the truck. I still have the original battery and I have system and some off-road lights. I was wondering if its time for a new battery. If it is how are the optima batteries. Which one would be good for my application (red or yellow). I plan on making some more mods that would probably drain my battery more than normal.

dang man too bad your not in Colorado, I've got a battery that'll be coming out of my F-150, hopefully sooner then later. I'd say you could have it if you wanted it, but I can't ship it so I'll just hold on to it for now.

When it was time for a new battery I decided to get 2nd to top of the line battery at advance auto. The reasons I chose this battery over the optima (top of the line) are:

1.More power 1200 AMPS compared to 900 with the optima (don't quote me on this, but it's alot more powerful)
2.Longer warranty
3.$60 cheaper
