For all those second gen owners with the 4405 t-cases. has anyone ever thaught of replacing your drive shaft u-joints as previtive maintence yet? Im just throwing it up for a suggestion. but chances are those old u joints could be ceasing up and not helping those bushing of that transfer case. if its having a hard time to rotate freely cuz of a bad joint its going to put a strain on certain points of the bushing! also changing the fluid will help quite a bit or so ive heard.. just trying to throw an idea out there, because ive yet to come across it as something that could be done to prevent it.
