Has anyone ever used the Melling brand hydraulic tensioner? I see that the country of origin is Italy. Any thoughts? I have been rebuilding a 4.0 SOHC and I originally bought Ford timing chain components. Long story short.. one of the tensioners ended up on the garage floor somehow???????? My wife ran over it while pulling in
I need to buy just one driver side tensioner. I was thinking of the Cloyes or Melling. Does anyone know who makes the Melling tensioners? I believe the Cloyes are now made in Taiwan which may or may not be relevant. I dunno. I will probably end up getting the Ford part, but I was thinking that the Melling is the same as the OEM?
