What is a PCM?

PCM=Powertrain Control Module. aka "the computer"

That sucks man, what did you do.

The dealer would probably be the place to go, but it would be expensive. You might be able to get one at a junkyard, but it would have to be frprogrammed by the dealer.

it's just the diode that's melted..it's like a fuse..but not..it's in the fuse box..but it still work's..anyone know where i can get one..(I.E. napa?)

thank's

do you have a pic of it? that might help.

How in the world did you get it to melt? This diode is nothing special. It is in series with the PCM relay so the PCM is not powered up if the battery is reversed. I don't know of it powering anything else. A one amp diode from Radio Shack would work just as well if you could make the connector. Don't imagine this would cost any more than a couple of dollars from the dealer.

i have no friggin clue hoow it happend..or why..i was checking the under hood fuses and boom there it was..i tracked down what it was..it's the outer casing that's melted..i will get a pic.

Is that the "giant fuse" that is between the + and - cables right before the fuse box?

no it's really small..let me get a pic..it's a diode not a fuse..that was just the best way i could explane it..lol

here's a pic..sorry it's blurry

Like others said do the radio shack or Frys electronics thing and get one there. But, you gotta figure out why it got smoked.
