Message center symbol, help indentify

Hey everyone. I have an 06 Mountaineer, except for the tranny rebuild, new radiator, shifter recall fix and a new battery it has been a good truck. Anyway, recently I have noticed something that has happened twice now, on the message center display, I look at it and notice a very little icon, not in the owners manual, in the very far lower left hand corner of the display. This resets when you turn off the truck and then back on. When it did it today, the messge center jumped from the trip a screen quickly to another screen then back and that little icon showed up in the lower left hand corner. It changed and changed back too quick for me to see what it said. Anyone else have this happen and can maybe tell me what this might be? I have no idiot lights on and the truck is running great. It is very small, really hard to tell. Honestly I cannot even describe it. It is definitely a character with some meaning though. When I first saw it I thought it was a spot gone bad on the display, but when it cleared until this morning, I knew it had to be something else. I wish I would have noticed the message center screen flip flop when it did it this morning. I saw it change back to Trip A and the symbol was there.

When the screen flipped did it stay green or turn red?

Stayed green, that I do know. Red would have caught my attention for sure. If it does it again, I'll get a pic and post it. I may also try and light it up with a bright light to see if there is an outline there and what it looks like.

The owners manual should tell you what all of the lights are...

Not in the manual anywhere, that is the first thing I checked.

It's on pg. 10 & 11 of the Explorer manual for '06, the ford site doesn't list the Mountaineer manuals for some reason... (?)

I would think the lights should be the same though, maybe the manuals are different...

I just looked at pages 10 & 11 in my manual, the symbols are there but the one I saw isn't in there. The trucks are the same though. I had an 06 Explorer and got rid of it. Fixing the Mountaineers problems cost me enough already.

I called my Ford guy, he doesn't know. If I had to descirbe this symbol, it looks like a right leaning semi colon? Maybe?

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to check in to see if you ever found out what the symbol was or if you got a picture. Please let me know if it’s still happening!
