so i got some intake cleaner from work and sprayed it on the throttle body and maf sensor, and took it around the block, and when i floor it, it jerks and bucks and doesnt gain speed, but partial throttle driving is good. also, if i go from off throttle to full throttle, it doesnt do anything, doesnt rev up, doesnt accelerate at all, nothing. did i #### up my maf by spraying this stuff on it? its stp intake cleaner. thanks.

i had the same problem with my truck a day after cleaning my MAF. I reset my system a few times...because i had to change my battery cables. and i haven't had the problem sense. they say that electrical cleaner is what you should use to clean your maf though. it also has to dry completly after cleaning.

hmm, maybe i should try that. thanks a lot, hopefully it dried overnight.

i was just confused because it drove fine partial throttle you know? pretty much baffled me.

well thanks!

Alot of intake cleaners contain petroleum products. This is not good for the maf sensor. Use an electrical parts cleaner for the maf. The electrical parts cleaner does not leave a residue on the sensor.

well, just thought id update. next day it drove fine, i guess ill have to read directions if i dont know what im doing next time. thanks guys!
