Rebecca,

I had the latest MFT installed yesterday at the dealership, I assumed that the previous issue of having the calendar off would be corrected, but the problem persists. I did a master reset and still the same, how can I correct this?
I know this is a minor issue, but seems a bit silly that the calendar can't display the correct date. I have no NAV, just basic MFT.
Thanks,

Hi, new to ford!

The only thing I can suggest is a dealer visit to have your software reloaded and the GPS module looked at. I have a few questions though:

Does SYNC Services find your location when getting directions?
Is your clock correct?
Is your compass correct?

Rebecca

Hi Rebecca, thanks for the reply.

I did check both the clock and compass and they are correct/working properly.
I will check if the SYNC services can find my location next time I drive it, which is not very often, since it's my wife's vehicle and she never wants to trade vehicles with me :D

LOL, I wouldn't trade either! ;) Just shoot me a PM or post again here when you get a chance to test Services. Thanks!

So help me out here. My MFT clock has decided it doesn't want to work properly. It is displayed, but will not keep correct time. Sometimes it corrects itself , but then starts to loose or gain time with no rhyme or reason. Manual set on the clock works, but same story, clock just doesn't keep correct time. The little clock on the right view screen next to the speedo, does work and works correctly......all very aggrevating..

Hi Rebbeca,

I checked SYNC services for directions and works perfect, same with clock and compass... Any other ideas? or is next step a visit to the dealership?
Thanks.

I don't have any other tricks up my sleeve, so the next step is to visit your dealer. Let me know how it goes!

Ok, thanks. Since it's a minor issue, I won't rush into the the dealer just for that. I'll combine it with next future trip.

Clock problem now repaired: Used the "Delayed Reboot App" found at outofmytouch.com/reboot.html Very simple to down load and use. I suspect it will fix any number of minor MFT issues and bugs. What I can not understand, is why Ford themselves can not or will not make such easy fixes available to Owners? The best thing about this reboot is you don't have to re-enter the phone, book and nav info......best regards Plum

Besides not wiping out phone/nav/etc. data, does the Delayed Reboot do anything different from a Master Reset? I've got a malfunctioning clock/compass and am willing to try anything short of replacing the GPS module (out of warranty).

Slightly off-topic: does anyone have an idea what cost is involved in replacing a GPS module?

Thanks.

Glad it's working, Plum!

The reboot app doesn't do anything different than a master reset (except for the things you already listed). As far as the cost of replacing the module, that would be best answered by your dealership. :)

Did'nt Ford recently extend the warrantee on the MFT modual to 5years? Check, you may find you have some coverage. Seems like your unit should now still be covered.....I'd check with Customer Service.....best regards Plum
