You have to laugh - if not this POS of a system will cause you to put your foot through the middle of that nice 8" screen.
So - I'm driving to work yesterday morning. Back out of the garage, backup camera works fine, radio come on, ESPN Radio has Mike and Mike on. No problemo.
I make a stop at the post office about 10 minutes into the trip. Get out of the car, go inside for a couple minutes, come out and start the car. The backup camera comes on just fine, no noise from the radio. I think I've just turned the volume down.
I start driving and turn the volume up - nothing. I then notice the video screen shows the radio is off, and the button is lit, but still not working. I hit the button - nothing. I touch the button on screen - nothing. I hit both buttons a bunch more times - nothing.
So, once before when something similar happened, MFT won't release my phone after completing a call. So I shut the BT off on the phone. No difference.
It's about 10 more minutes to my destination, so I finish the trip. When I've parked, I shoot the attached video.
Thankfully, opening the door to shut the thing all the way off resulted in a reset that then allowed the radio to work on restart.
No - I did not do a Master Reset as that is a PITA and I didn't want to reset all the settings. If the complete power off, then on wouldn't have restarted it, I would have gone the battery cable route first.
Ford's better idea! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. POS!
