2010 ford explorer limited 4.0 4x4 99000 miles i replaced water pump and the thermostat housing and i get antifreeze smell every once and a while and sometimes it is strong . No leaks nothing on floor of my garage and oil looks great runs great and radiator if full not down a bit, so why do i have antifreeze smell? thanks

Take a close look at the radiator they can develop slow leaks that leave very little visible signs like coolant on the ground. I had to crawl under the vehicle to see where my radiator was leaking. The typical place is around the plastic end caps.

Make sure you aren’t dripping onto a manifold. It’ll often leave discoloration.
