Yep yep... Gotta love Mitten corrosion. :)

Looks worse than mine did and I broke 2 hammers whacking mine off.

Funny part about mine is, my e-brake looked like that, no pads left, but it worked great. Now with new pads it doesn't work.

yeah that kinda stinks, i figured i never trusted or used mine on any of my trucks anyways so i might as well take all the rusty junk off, did the same thing when i did my ranger rear brakes but that one is a manual trans so once and a while a piece of 2x4 is needed for parking brake hahaha

Somewhere someone is thinking they could turn that rotor and use it. LOL!

Maybe I should list them on craigslist for free and say they just need to be turned LOL

I expect to see all the CA and AZ guys chiming in right about now....:(

And us Georgia guys also!!! I always cringe when I see underneath pics of y'alls trucks. I did ball joints and shocks last fall on my '97 EB and it looked brand new underneath. Not a single rusted or broken bolt.

Trust me, I'm not!!! I thank the Lord every day that I no longer live in that kind of climate - Vermonter by birth, so I lived with it for many years.:chug:

Hahaha...he's a Georgia transplant and already using y'all. (Have to take some kind of jab here...it's my ridiculous jealousy at the lack of rust he lives with ;))

I've been here since 1979, so it's not hardly "already" - I come by the "y'alls" honestly.:D Plus, "protective coloration" is always a good thing!!:salute:

Ok, since 79...I'll give it to you :D. Especially since I was born in 86 lol.

Is protective coloration another way to word what I call my stage II weight reduction kit? (Which is another way to say god-awful rust)

'86?? - Hell, I have shoes older than you!!!

"Protective coloration" is another term for camoflauge - it helps to sound more like a native down here.:D

I do love this site!!

Your token Californian here.

Yep, a little sand paper and that will clean up real nice. :D

Well maybe working on michigan cars is good experience. Because if I ever get to work on a non salted car it will be a piece of cake.
