Hi I'm a long time lurker first time posting.
I need a bit of help. I ordered a set of M/T 15x8 classic III wheels 5 on 114.3 -22 offset so about 3.75" backspace, and 33x12 tires. ( 3" body lift) The wheels company is saying the wheels won't fit. Does anyone know
For sure? Indeed to let them know before I have them shipped.
I'll post pics after the truck is done. Thanks for any help.
Forgot to mention, I have an 05 sport trac

Most aluminum wheels are thicker than steel wheels which is why they usually don't clear the calipers. Your best bet would be to go to a wheel shop that sells them to test fit one on both front and rear to make sure before you order. I did have a set of 15x10 MT classic II's that I tried to fit on my '03 and they didn't clear.

You think it could fit with a .25" spacer? I had a vw one time I put 13's on and had an issue with the caliper. I just took the grinder and shaved some material off the calipers and was fine. Is this something I could do to the truck you think?

I honestly couldn't tell you if that would work, not sure how much you would need to or be able to shave off the calipers. As for the spacers I strongly recommend not using slide on spacers, the bolt on kind are good but the slide on style you risk snapping studs on or off road and you loose that much in clamping force to keep the wheel on the hub.

Well I went with the pro-comp 1069 series polished wheels
15x8 with Goodyear wrangler duratrack. The procomps are supposed to have
Extra clearance for brakes. I hope they do. We'll see soon I guess
Thanks for the help. I'll post pics soon as I get them on.

Ok, sound good. I hope they fit for ya. I ran 33x12.50x15 Goodyear DuraTrac's on my ST for a couple years before I moved upto 37x12.50x16.5's. DuraTrac's are awesome tires for on and offroad, I did tons of rock crawling and different offroading with them and never had any problems.

Ok so I just got home after a couple of months away for work, and waiting on the garage floor wer my new wheels and tires. The company I got them from would not give me the warranty on the wheels because pro mop told them they didn't know for sure if they would fit. I took the chance and got them anyway.
Put them on the morning after I got home and they fit perfectly. I still got about 1/4" clearance from the brake caliper and the backspace is perfect. They sit fairly flush with the bed sides and they stick out about an inch in the front.
There is no rubbing in the back or front passenger side. I am getting rubbing when I turn hard right on the rear of the front wheel. The outside of the tire is hitting the splash guard in the wheel well, just enough to drive me crazy. I trimmed a bit, and it still rubs. I'm going to do a tt later today and see if this helps.
Anyway, if anyone was curious as to what wheel fits, I can say the pro mop 1069 series is a perfect fit.

Pics or it didn't happen!

Great to hear they fit!

To post pics, you'll have to upload them to a photo sharing site like Photobucket. Then cody the direct link address to the pic (on photo bucket you'll see it listed on the right side of the scree). Then click the little yellow postcard with the mountain on it in this quick reply box and paste the link in there. It's simple, just takes a lot of words to describe it lol.
