I have a misfire that I'm in trying to diagnose.
After pulling all plugs I noticed that the middle plug of the right bank was gas fouled. I replaced the wire and the plug and got the exact same result.
I have yet to check the health of the spark.
Have you guys run into that problem?

EDIT: Roadrunner777 is right... low compression on cylinder #2 (40-50psi dry). Darn!
I have changed that lower intake gasket a while back, should be good.
The coil pack checked out ok with primary resistance between .5 and 1.0, secondary showed 13k across the board.
The wet test showed same compression as dry, onto replacing the heads.

The 4.0L is well known for the lower intake bolts being loose after many years. Retorque the lower intake and your oil consumption/fowled plug should go away. Many have found the same issue including me.

Torque in the proper sequence.

I eventually changed the lower intake gaskets and found that I had a leak in the coolant passage, not surprising considering my coolant level would drop regularly.

Onto replacing the heads.

Oops, missed that you said gas fouled. Low compression sucks!
