I have been trying to get rims for quite some time now and every time I have the money some kind of problem comes up! If I don't get them within the next 2 weeks I have decided to just buy something else.

One thing that came to mind is this older Jeep the guy I bought my X from has. I don't know what year or what model....I just know it's a Jeep with some big ass tires! It's 4wd and has a manual tranny(I think) some rust(what jeep doesnt) and I believe about 35s.

What kind of things should I look for if I test drove this beast as far as problems or future problems?

Try to get one with the 4.0, avoid the 2.8 at all costs!!!

Make sure it doesn't shake like crazy at highway speeds, many jeeps tend to do just that, especially lifted ones.

For the money of a J**P, you could do the SAS!!!!!!! You would run circles around any JP!

Then you will need one of these.

Get an old CJ with a V-8 if yer looking to do the least work... they're gonna be narrow track, regarding width... Or you could really build a wheeler and get an old willys... can't go wrong with an old flat fender!
