Same spindles:

Personally I used a set of the Doetsch lift spindles (5") on a 2wd Chevy truck, and they were ok, but started to get total surface rust very quickly, and looked pretty bad after about 6 months...

But, they were strong and I had no issues with them at the time.

With that said, the ones you are referencing above do fit a 99-03 2WD only (not SportTrac).

I can powder coat them. I guess you just put your hub on and slap it in

Fairly easy install actually....of course when I did the spindles I also put in lifted coils, etc....but I can see it taking maybe an hour per side for the spindles assuming no inordinate issues. 2wd's definitely are easier to work with in many respects when it comes to lifting....

those are probably not going to be spindles for a 3rd gen just fyi..
That's what I'm thinking. I requested pictures and more details, so I'll let you know when I hear something.

those are prolly for an explorer sport.

this keeps comming up no one has made a spindle for a 3rd gen yet

every 6 months some one brings this up

doesnt work for 4 door 3rd gens

yep 6 months... this thread just answered my own question from another thread I had. Bummer these aren't available for 02- and up applications.
