Just wanted some input, have been searchin the forums and came up with this. I have a 2000 Explorer, just bought the PA 883 3 inch body lift for a Ranger last week. Goin to do a TT for some extra added lift up front and goin to add a leaf in the rear or possible shackles or should I do both ? Orderin up Mickey Thompson 15x8 rims with 33x12.5R15 and do some fender trimming. Am I missing anything you guys can think of or am I good to go ? Oh ya, and alot of PB nut blaster. Goin to do the install myself and figured I'll be down a day on it. Any info appreciated, thanks.

never done a BL but i know those tires should fit no prob and if those wheels have good backspacing you probably wont even have to trim, maybe just a little by the bumper but thats it

Just take your time and you should be fine. Make sure you soak the bolts with PB and let it soak for a good while. My biggest problem were the bolts by the radiator. I ended up cutting them off with a grinder and just getting new bolts. I was only doing new bushings but the steps are pretty much the same. Actually new body bushings are more of a pain. But since yours is a 2000 you should not have as much trouble, mine is a 1993. Everything was rusted and corroded. Good luck, and show us some pics after its all done.

depends on how bad its sagging now. i used the add-a-leaf to level mine out and would've needed the shackles too if i would've done a torsion twist also.

Well I got my body lift the other day but due to holidays I have to wait a couple weeks to do it over the weekend due to new years and all. Goin to order my add a leaf next week so I can do it at once and then onto orderin up my 33's. Once I get the body lift on I will post up some pics.

I would get the Warrior shackles first and wait to see if you need the add-a-leafs. I did both and didn't need the add-a-leafs, now my ride is a lot rougher and I wish i didn't have the add-a-leafs.

see thats y i liked the aal's it gave it a firm more stable feel. thats exactly y i got them. to get rid of that wobbly spongy feel. or u could call it a rougher ride. which it did rough it up a bit. but i was willing to deal with that cuz it didn't really feel safe to me without them. but if yer content on the stability of yer truck maybe u should get the shackles cuz it will firm up the ride a bit.

Well that's what I have been shoppin around for. I was looking at the Cepek FC ll's 33x12.50R15 on 15x8 rims. Or I was looking at Kumho road venture MT. I want a beefer lookin tire that most AT's so that is why I liked the FCll's but they are like $150 a piece and I can get the kumho's through my shop for like $110 each.

I just picked my tires today, I went with GoodYear MTR's mud terrain 33x12.5x15 And today I ordered Rancho RSX shocks, rims 15x8 and add a leaf. Should be installing everything next weekend.

Stay out of the deep mud with them, they turn into solid balls of mud REAL fast. They are also bad in the wet snow (pack up real quick like in the mud) so keep an eye on them. They do get good milage and are loud on the road though.
