I lost the the spring at the top of the gas pedel...My wife called me and said her truck would start but not stay running. At first I was thinking Fuel filter but then when I got there I looka the trottle.and found it was loose. At that point I found a missing spring....Good thing I have 2 trucks for reffance! :D Does anyone know a part # for that spring?.....

I couldn't find a part number for the spring.....

But - Are you sure it isn't a problem with the infamous IAC valve? You should still be able to idle ok even without touching the pedal - the IAC should bypass enough air to keep the engine running.

My 1st IAC valve failed in this way - it was sticking and not letting enough air in to keep the engine running in D.

Just a suggestion.

Nope trust me it's missing the spring. My truck has one and wife's dosn't....or dosn't anymore. Same year! Only difference is Her's is a sport 4x2 SOHC and mine is 4DR 4x4 OHV.

I put a few zip ties were the spring was and now it's fine... ;)

I have to go get a new spring today though....but why do I have a feeling that it's part of the hole throttle cable...?

I looked for the spring in the factory manual - they only show the pedal assy and the cable assy as separate parts - they don't show the spring at all, so you may be right.

Here is the part # for future reffence... YL2Z-9A758-AB

33 bucks for it....
