Mixing speakers - problems????

I want to upgrade my front door speakers to some nice 6x8 3 way speakers ( I will be using the stock HU for now ) and leave the factory rear door speakers in place ( also for now ).

Will there be any problems with this set up?

Other ideas and suggestions welcomed.

Stay with a low watt speaker and you should have no problem..

No real problems, though you might notice a difference in the sound, it'll depend. My friend put some nice speakers in the front, but the rears (crappy stocks) were louder in the midbass range prolly from loose suspension with age, though not as defined. So, he just moved the fader up front. That's about it.

i got the pioneer 3ways in front and pioneer 2way(compression horn tweeter) in the rear, not the same setup as your considering but i havent run into any problems
