Moddin' a Billet Grille - Possible?

I'm looking to get a decent billet grille but am reluctant to cut into the factory grille :thumbdwn: . Is it possible to "trim" the bars at each end to make it fit from the front and then use heavy-duty nylon ties? Anyone tried this?

That's how the eBay billet is attached but it doesn't look very good.

You could do that with a regular billet but again it won't look very good.

there's only one eBay grille out there (now) that attaches without OEM cutting and it's the 25 bar one that looks from far away like a piece of sheet metal. Not sure what to do...
