I'm interested in modifying my airbox with my K&N drop-in but I don't want to do something I will regret. Are there any negatives to drilling holes in my air box? Where would I do it on a 94 OHV?? Thanks for the help.

When I cut a big square out of the front of mine, I noticed a pretty good power increase. the only negatives I can think of is that the filter will get dirty quicker. Also if you go through deep mud/water, there might be a chance of getting water in the motor. Cut it on the side where it gets air from the factory. On mine it was the front. The factory had a good idea of getting cooler air in the engine, they just restricted it to cut down on intake noise. Cut it, you'll love it!

I used a Dremel and it made it real easy. If you don't have access to one just get a drill and a big bit, and drill several holes.

I just used a drill and a 1 inck hole bit. Drilled holes in the thing. You cant tell just by looking at it that is has holes in it. Nice sounds from it also. Nice performance for a free mod. Do it you cant go wrong.

cant notice any real speed mods.. maybe it revs up a tiny bit quicker.. but it sounds much better
